BACKGROUND:
If you have an 88 Fiero with the Beechwood interior, like me you can not find anyone carrying an accurate representation of the original OEM color. I was able to have some of this material made up for me to redo the interior of my 88 GT and have some extra I’m offering for those that are as picky as me in the Fiero community in keeping their Fiero stock and as Pontiac rolled it off the assembly line.
I’ve posted a few pictures of the actual new material compared to the OEM Beechwood material from my original 88 GT’s headliner. Of course after 32 years, the original headliner that was exposed to the sun has faded comsiderably. By comparing to the surfaces that were covered by trim, we can see the original color of the headliner. I’ve shown that in the pictures for your comparison. In all the searching I done over the last five years as I was wanting to do a restoration, even when I found a vender supposedly offering Beechwood for 88’s I’ve never found a vender willing to show a side-by-side comparison with new vs original material. It’s a very rare and difficult material to match.
The pictures I’ve taken show that the replacement material is a near perfect match with I would say just perhaps one shade lighter than the unfaded original material. Check the photos for yourself and decide if it’s a good match for your 88. I’ve also included a few pictures of the material installed in my car.
I’m offering several options which I think will take care of pretty much anyone’s needs. Note that if you’ve gotten your material elsewhere in the past or if it’s been in the sun, etc, my new material may not be a perfect match for what you have in your car already so I encourage you to buy everything from me at once.
